A decade of dedication
Charlotte Akenhead is a classically trained opera singer and vocal coach known for her rich, expressive sound and her ability to bring out the very best in every student she teaches. With a decade of intensive vocal training and years of performance experience, Charlotte brings a depth of musical understanding that only a dedicated artist can offer.
A journey of musical discovery
Charlotte spent six years living in Porto, a period that deeply shaped her musical identity and exposed her to a vibrant European vocal culture. She later undertook four years of formal study at Vocare Conservatório, where she refined her technique, musicianship, and stagecraft under the guidance of respected teachers. Her training continued internationally in Finland and Italy with the Belcanto Academy, immersing her in the stylistic and expressive traditions of classical and operatic singing.
The camden club experience
The Camden Club is a wonderfully unusual and inspiring place to learn. By day, it’s a calm, creative environment perfect for focused vocal work — but by night, it transforms into a vibrant nightclub and live‑music venue.
